The YESS Training materials have been created to assist fabric mills to implement their own due diligence approach and to meet the requirements of theYESS Standard for Fabric Mills: Weaving and Knitting Operations Only.
If you have not yet read it, download and read through the YESS Welcome Guide for New Mill Members.
Complete the online learning course YESS Mill Training. Each YESS member organization is granted five seats on the learning platform as a part of membership. If you would like more seats, contact info@sourcingnetwork.org. The two contacts whose information was provided in the application for YESS membership have received an email with information about how to log into the course.
Upload updated policies and procedures as assigned throughout the Mill Training Course.
Read the Introduction to the YESS Standards.
Download the YESS Standard for Fabric Mills and note how each section of the YESS Standard references the support documents located on the Resources page.
Print out resource #1: YESS Standard Review Checklist, and use it as a guide to prepare your mill for its first YESS assessment. Read the YESS Standard thoroughly and fill out each of the corresponding checklists located on the Resources page.
After you have completed the foundational training, and are ready to undergo a YESS Assessment, fill out the Assessment Request Form on Sumerra’s website (Sumerra is the Oversight Body managing the third-party auditors approved to conduct YESS assessments). Within the training you will be prompted to request an assessment. If you aren’t planning to go through an assessment at this time, you can move on to the Full Training in the Mill Training Course.
Note: From requesting assessment, it will likely be about 3 months before assessment occurs, during which time you can focus on implementing the policies and procedures you wrote during the course.
